Cherry Log Fall Festival 🍎
October 7-8, 14-15: The community of Cherry Log celebrates the harvest with the Cherry Log Festival. Serving delicious homemade breakfast and lunch, offering arts and crafts, homemade cakes, pies and canned goods, bluegrass, gospel, and country music at the Cherry Log Community Clubhouse, 341 Cherry Log Street. Great food and entertainment. Fun for the whole family! Plenty of free parking is available.
Pickin’ Concert Series 🍎
October 7, 21: This annual summer concert series is coming to an end, so be sure to grab a chair and your dancing shoes for a fun evening of live music and dancing. This is a free event- however, donations are always appreciated. Food trucks are available during the show, and show times are from 7-9 pm, so make sure to get there early to get the best spot! October 14: This special event will take place in Downtown Ellijay starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 14th. This year’s theme is “Fall Harvest”. The annual Georgia Apple Festival parade is a great opportunity to bring the community together to celebrate with the Apple Capital! This event is family-friendly and free.

October 14-15, 21-22: Enjoy a FREE live music event at White Path Creek Distillery. Apple Recipe Contest 🍎
October 21: The Gilmer County UGA Extension Office is proudly hosting the 2023 Georgia Apple Festival Apple Recipe Contest! First-place entries for both categories will receive $200 and a ribbon. 2nd place entries for both categories will receive $50 and a ribbon. Entries and forms are due to the UGA Extension Office: Gilmer County by 12:00 Noon on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
Blue Ridge Mountains Parade of Homes 🍎
October 20, 21, 22: Benefitting the area’s local youth through the Parade of Homes Scholarship Foundation, Blue Ridge Mountains Parade of Homes is an annual, three-day event held in Blue Ridge, Georgia and features amazing homes sprinkled throughout the North Georgia mountains. The homes are set among breathtaking landscapes only found in the North Georgia mountains and feature unique and diverse architectural and building styles.
Dancing Goats Festival
October 28-29: Like an old-time mountain shindig, Dancing Goats Folkfest brings together friends, family and visitors to celebrate our art and culture. Juried folk-art show and sale, homegrown music, storytelling, and good eats celebrate our Southern Appalachian way of life. And don’t miss two days of the goats strutting their stuff in the popular goat pageants.
