Pick Ellijay’s Nohemí Reynoso Named one of 30 Future Leaders of Destination Organization Industry

Ellijay, Georgia (March 24, 2025) – Gilmer Chamber is thrilled to announce that Nohemí Reynoso has been named to Destinations International’s “30 Under 30 Class of 2025.” Destinations International is the largest and most respected association of destination organizations, convention and visitors bureaus (CVBs) and tourism boards, with more than 9,500 members and partners from over 750 destinations worldwide. The 30 Under 30 program is funded by the Destinations International Foundation and supported by founding program partner, SearchWide Global.

Reynoso joined the Gilmer Chamber team in July 2022 initially serving as an Information Specialist. She quickly displayed a keen interest in website management and the development of marketing materials for Pick Ellijay. In April 2023, Nohemí was promoted to Communications Manager for Pick Ellijay.

Nohemí displays a great deal of versatility in her current role and is the leading force behind a wide range of tourism initiatives like the Trio of Trails digital pass integration, the tourism grant and sponsorship programs, and the bi-monthly destination newsletter among other key tasks.

Reynoso is a true innovator who constantly seeks ways to improve, elevate and amplify every project she takes on. This spirit of excellence is displayed time and time again through the results her efforts produce. In 2024, Nohemí was able to increase web traffic to Pick Ellijay’s website by 50% and a recent study from Longwoods International revealed that travelers to Ellijay were two times more likely to reference Ellijay’s website in their travel decision making than other destinations.

“As an organization, we are incredibly proud to celebrate Nohemí for being recognized in Destinations International’s prestigious 30 Under 30 program,” said Gilmer Chamber CEO Kyle Ray. “This honor is a testament to her passion, dedication, and leadership in the tourism industry. Nohemí embodies the innovation and commitment that drive our destination forward, and we are thrilled to see her receive this well-deserved recognition.”

Destinations International is committed to developing future industry leaders from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Through a competitive process each year, 30 individuals under the age of 30 are selected for a valuable year-long industry education and networking opportunity. This year’s honorees hail from 30 unique destinations across four countries and territories and were selected from a competitive pool of 91 applicants.

“The 30 Under 30 program is a critical initiative directly aligned with the mission and vision of our association,” said Don Welsh, president and CEO of Destinations International. “The destinations sector and travel and tourism industry offer a wide range of exciting career opportunities, and it is crucial that we help identify and encourage our future leaders. We are excited to welcome these accomplished individuals to the Destinations International “30 Under 30 Class of 2025.”

“The Destinations International Foundation believes it is essential to support and empower emerging leaders in our industry,” said Amir Eylon, president and CEO of Longwoods International and chair of the Destinations International Foundation. “We are thrilled to see the 30 Under 30 Program enter its 15th year, and we are thankful to our foundation investors for making impactful programs like these possible. We look forward to engaging with this impressive group through professional development, educational opportunities and networking with industry peers and leaders.”
