Light Up Ellijay is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. The Downtown Business and Community Association is planning to make this year’s Light Up Ellijay bigger and better than ever.

These are the events happening during Light Up Ellijay you won’t want to miss:

Vendor Market

Come shop for Christmas items made by local vendors and artisans. From 12:00 PM- 8:00 PM, you can shop for anything from your Christmas lists like jewelry, crafts, and much more.

Santa Meet & Greet

Bring your children to see Santa right before the parade begins. Santa will be sitting at the steps of the courthouse starting at 3 pm, so make sure to bring your Christmas list to give to Santa.

Elementary School Choir Concert

Want to hear live choir music to bring in the holiday spirit? Starting at 4 PM, local elementary and middle school students will be singing holiday classics to get everyone in the holiday mood.

Parade Celebration

The annual Christmas Parade will begin at 6 PM. The Christmas Parade brings in the old-time Christmas feel and is sure to put you in the holiday spirit.

Lighting of the Tree

After the parade, witness the lighting of our tree by Santa himself. With over 1,000 twinkling lights, this is the perfect event for the whole family to enjoy.

Reading of The Night Before Christmas

After the parade, Santa will read the all-time classic, “The Night Before Christmas.”

More Photos with Santa

After the parade and tree lighting, meet Santa once again at the steps of the courthouse, to tell him what you want for Christmas. This is now your chance to give your Christmas list to Santa himself.

Christmas Celebration

To finish off the night, bring your children for a dance party/movie outside of BEAU-tiful Creations. There will be s’mores and so much more for everyone to enjoy!

Old Fashioned Christmas

From 11:00 AM- 4:00 PM, the Tabor House Museum is having its annual Christmas Open House before the Light Up Ellijay celebration. Come experience what Christmas was like in the 1800s.  Admission is $5.00 for adults and free for children.
