Fourth of July Downtown Activities and Parade
July 4 @ 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm
- 12 PM: Activities begin at noon with vendors, jumpy house (sponsored by H&R Block), and music in the First Baptist Church Parking in Downtown Ellijay.
- 6-7 PM: Riverside Train Band will play from the FBC Parking area.
- 7 PM: at the Courthouse, there will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence, Singing of the National Anthem; Musket salute will be fired
- 7:30 PM: The parade will begin on River St. at Sailors Dr. The parade route will be up River St. around the round-about and out North Main to McCutchen where it will end at the Ellijay Elementary School.
- Fireworks sponsored by the City of Ellijay and the Chamber will begin at Dusk. Parade applications are available at Gilmer Arts Gallery (207 Dalton St.) or on Downtown Ellijay’s Facebook.
